Spring and Summer are right around the corner, which means it's Wedding Season. Here is a quick guide for the groom and his groomsmen.
What you should wear: It is key that all the groomsmen are coordinated accordingly and complement the groom. So whether you are the groom or you are a groomsman helping coordinate this side of it, make sure everyone looks sharp!
For the Groom: Wear something with a little flavor to make you stand out (You can overdo it a little). Make sure your suit fits - hit the tailor and clean up the edges. Grab a pocket square, an awesome tie, a fresh pair of dress shoes and the perfect socks to match.
For the Groomsmen: It is recommended that everyone looks unified — this means coordinating ties, pocket squares, socks (All the good stuff).
What to gift: It’s hard to give someone a gift if you know they will be receiving over a hundred other gifts. Give him something that you know no one else will and make sure it is something he will actually use. Here are some ideas we think are kind of neat: sphere ice molds, cocktail mixers, leather catch-all trays, a bar set, leather flask.
The Best Man Speech:
This last note is for that nerve wrecking speech you probably haven’t started yet. Don’t know what to say? Here are a couple of pointers to get you started in the right direction.
The recipe for a good speech begins with a slight sense of humor, then blends into a few serious notes, a piece of nostalgia, and with a few sweet comments about the bride. (That should hit all the sweet spots). To wrap up your speech, end it with a nice wish, a classic toast, or a blessing for the couple.
+Speak loud and clear.
+Don't drink too much
+Try not to read from the card
so much (We know it's tough!)
